The meals were lovely - I had escargots to start and then the cassoulet for the main, which I could not finish as the portions were so huge (even the salads were too much for most people to finish!). I had a try of the other dishes which were gorgeous as well. The only downsides were that the vegetarian selection was not great and everyone was pretty packed in.
In the Butte au Calles, this no reservations gem has it all. Line up 15 min. early and prepare for a feast at bargain basement prices. A lunch of confit de canard and cassoulet were very good and left us stuffed. The bill was 36E!.With over 20 years of dining experience in Paris, this is a VERY rare find with an extraordinary quality/price ratio. Yes, it gets packed within 15 minutes of opening but it is a definite add to the "must go" list for true foodies and cost conscious diners
Staff were nice. Spoke English and were very helpful. Duck with potatoes was tasty. My family enjoyed their meals with the basque sauce. Cute atmosphere and very French.
We went to Chez Gladines twice on our trip to Paris. We especially loved Cassoulet dish! Delicious wine, food, and affordable! Very, very busy and tight in space but we didn't mind it. Already looking forward to going back there again!
Friendly staff and nice bistrot. The food quality is not excellent, but acceptable. Not too expensive for being in Paris
