Bidra med feedbackSimplicity often reigns supreme, and this local chain embodies that philosophy perfectly. With its understated advertising, it feels exclusive, as if you need to be in the know to appreciate it fully. Stepping inside transported me straight back to a bygone era, reminiscent of an episode of *Happy Days*. The staff was phenomenal—patient and welcoming, especially for us as first-time visitors. We were strongly advised not to leave Kansas without trying one of their delicious fried pies, and I’m glad we took that advice! We were seated quickly, with hardly any wait, and the pie was absolutely fantastic. It tasted freshly made rather than like a reheated frozen product, and the level of grease was just right, enhancing the experience rather than overpowering it. Their variety of flavors was impressive, featuring some unique and less conventional options. I might even go so far as to say this is one of the top reasons we'll be returning to Kansas! XD
We arrived at 6:55 PM, eager to try out this restaurant! When we walked in, the lights were on and the door was unlocked, but the sign on the door stated that they closed at 7. The woman at the register, without any greeting, simply said, "We're closed." There was no apology or explanation, and her tone was quite rude. The entire place was already cleaned up. If your posted hours say you're open until 7, then you should remain open until that time. The treatment we received from the staff was disappointing, and I won't be coming back. This occurred on February 14, 2020.
If you haven't visited this restaurant yet, you're truly missing out! This was my first time there, and I can confidently say I will be returning often. "Wow" is the best way to describe my experience. It's a charming spot, and the fried pies are simply amazing. Be sure to stop by and try something unique and locally inspired!
This was AWESOME!!!! I have heard about these pies for a few years now and seeing this location featured on PBS made me want it more. the pie I had (blackberry) was fantastic. I had to wait for it to be made, but that was okay and the staff was very friendly and apologetic about it. If you want good pie, head here!
We stopped by while passing through Park City and picked up two coconut cream fried pies. While they were tasty, they were a bit flat and lacked enough filling. The main reason for my three-star rating is that I found the pies to be quite overpriced at $3.79 each given what you get. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, and we received our pies quickly, but there was no one else in the store at the time. Due to the high prices, I probably won’t be returning.
