Sammy's Bistro - Park City

We loved the sweet potato fries and the mahi mahi tacos. The mango pieces in the tacos are a great addition! The chivito sandwich was good but didn't quite meet the hype for me.

I will not be coming back here. I came here in February with a friend and ordered a beer, and presented my military ID when asked. The waiter believed the ID was fake and was going to confiscate it. I told him I could show him my driver’s license to which he responded, “Yeah, if you want to show me your real ID.” Keep in mind, no one in their right mind would create a fake military ID, don’t even think there is such a thing. My mom is retired Air Force and I have the ID for my healthcare; they are very expensive to replace and very important items. I took my ID back from him, stating that my mom is retired Air Force and I need it for my healthcare. To which he responded “You don’t understand the liquor laws in this town, I have to scan every ID” with quite a bit of attitude. That is untrue, as I live in Park City and have been to countless restaurants where that has not been the case. It was clear that this waiter wanted to give me, a young woman, “the business.” At the end of my friend and I’s meal, he gave me a “thank you for your service” full of attitude. Suffice to say, I will never be returning here.

I wasn't very hungry, so I decided to order the kids' chicken strips, only to discover that they were the inexpensive reheated kind. To make matters worse, the chef had cut one of the chicken strips in half and placed the pieces face down on the plate, making it look like I received four tenders. It felt a bit cheap, don't you think? I would have been perfectly fine with just three.

Loved, loved, loved this place. Amazing food and amazing server Boyon. Keep up the good work!

The fish and chips was excellent. The grilled asparagus was excellent. The waitstaff was over worked.
