The Victory Feast! That's what Poppy always gets when he comes to Kublai Khan. Poppy has dined in at least a dozen times over the years and his life. Quality is always the same, food is what it is. You are served warm bread sticks, then head to the noodle bar which has egg noodles, rice (bland) and prawn crackers. Then Poppy hits the queue to select his frozen shaved meat of choice, along with veggies and sauces. Personally Poppy likes to load up on Lamb, onions, capsicum, pineapple, sesame oil, vinegar, sweet & sour sauce, soy sauce and HOT HOT sauce, but be careful, packs a punch. However you do really need to go overboard when you're adding you sauces as 80% of them look and taste watered down in order to cut $$'s. Usually Poppy will head up 4-5 times for a bowl of this self made concoction which is cooking in front of you on a huge hotplate by men with large chop sticks. Poppy likes this place once in a while, the service is good, and the food is good. Unique and good. Worth an eat

Had a good experience tonight for our first time at Kublai Khan. The food was what we expected for the Mongolian BBQ, did not disappoint. The chefs were great in that they were quick, but the table service was lacking. This didn't bother us heaps as we could serve ourselves, but isn't ideal considering it wasn't super busy. Will still return ☺️.

I'd never been to a Mongolian BBQ place before so I was pretty keen to check it out. While I did find the theatrics of having ingredients I just chose cooked before my very eyes interesting at first, my feeling is that all the food tasted the same. The rice wasn't great however the noodles mixed in were nice.

Theatrical but boring - the self-serve ingredients are fun for some but nothing is very fresh and everything tastes the same as its all drowned in one sauce.
