Bidra med feedbackHave been here twice for dinner and each time of great quality. If you like sushi and sashimi, then this is your place. Edamame is great.
Unfortunately we never got to try the food at this restaurant, as no-one was interested in serving us.Two of us (both middle aged, reasonably presented women) walked in off the street on a Saturday night and were greeted by a frown and a look up and down. We asked if it were possible to eat without having made a booking. We were told yes and were distractedly waved towards a table. We sat down, and then waited and waited just to be shown a menu, but it didn't happen. After about ten minutes, we gave up and walked out. No-one noticed or tried to stop us. I've never had that happen before in any restaurant anywhere. There are plenty of great Japanese restaurants in Sydney where the staff are welcoming and friendly. On that night, Sabu was not one of them.
There are lots of restaurants in this area and Sabu is a good Japanese restaurant to go to if you like this type of food. They have a happy hour menu with each dish costing $10. Our party selected most of the 8-10 selections and then went back and ordered more. The tempura vegetables was extremely good worh a light crispy batter. Great food and a good price. Great for couples, families or a group.
比較的まともな日本食屋でした。モダンな雰囲気も持ち合わせており、人を招くときもよいかもしれない。 値段もバカ高くないので、満足感も大きいかな。寿司Platter(二人前)40ドル。漁師風Seafood Soup$19, Edamame $5. Main Dish のSalmon grill ga 30+, Wagyu $50.でもこの和牛、本物ではないと思う。食べてないけど、オーストラリアで採れる和牛はないのじゃないかと(?)Fair deal, decent JP food you can expect from this place, Sabu. @ChurchStreet. I highly recommend you go there with friends and/or with family and occasional business networking. Nice atmosphere. We went there around 5pm, so not very crowded compared to others. which was nice. You can still chat quietly (no need to scream).
Tiny little restaurant that we overlooked for many years. Our loss! The restaurant is awesome- everything is made fresh and the quality is great. We are now regulars.
