Bidra med feedbackI have a busy day ahead, because it's me day again. Lots of shopping again around Shang. I ordered coffee crusted bistecca, and it was amazing! The meat was so tender and the sauce at the top of it was really delicious. I just wish there would be more servings of mashed potato. The ambiance was fine and the service was really nice, since the place was not full when I visited it. I'll definitely come back soon!
Tarte Flambé Mont Blanc ( bacon, pancetta, spinach, mushroom and cream sauce based Tarte flambé topped with freshly made paprika chips). Citrus cooler. Smoked Salmon Benny (smoked salmon on a bed of mushrooms and green topped with crisp coddled egg on warm brioche)
Serving was a lot even for a solo order. Recommend sharing a solo order for 3 people. Flavor was good at first. Starts to get dull after awhile. Risotto con maiale 3.5/5 Love the zesty pork belly. Risotto was bland without the pork. Had a better risotto than this. Carbonara 3.5/5 Was okay.. Citrus cooler soda 4/5 Fresh. Loved the honey.
We decided to try Spatzle because it looked so bright and inviting. Plus there were lots of seats available during a busy weekend. Hubby went for Spatz Haus Burger (P365). It’s an open-faced burger with 200g of pure ground beef, caramelized onions, whipped cream cheese, salsa, and roasted mushrooms all piled on top of a bagel. It’s crowned with lots of crispy thin onion strings too. A small dish of paprika-spiced chips and a dollop of mayonnaise came with the burger. I regretted not ordering this because it was sooooo good. It was actually the best thing they served us. The beef was so tender and tasty and the onions, cream cheese, and mushrooms all went so well with it. It’s probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried. We also ordered Roast Chicken Sausage on Mushroom Spatzle (P265). Spatzle is really a bajillion tiny pieces of what seemed like a cross between risotto and pasta. It’s chewy as if made of dough and quite bland in terms of flavor. If a restaurant was named Spatzle you would expect really great memorable spatzle, right? What I liked best about the spatzles was the chewy quality that makes you want to well, chew. The chicken sausage was pretty forgettable. In fact, I no longer remember what it tasted like. I do recall being unimpressed. Although I only liked the absolutely wonderful burger, I think the place is nice because of the bright and cheery interiors. Prices are reasonable too as most of the things on the menu are in the P200+ to P300+ range. I would go back only for the burger and maybe to try some of their desserts which struck me as interesting. I don’t think I need another order of spatzle or sausage to prove to myself that they’re not all that, lol.
