Star Pide - Paterson

I have been a customer of Star Pide for quite some time, having enjoyed their lahmacun and pide on numerous occasions. However, I am deeply disappointed by my most recent visit on April 30th, 2023 (Sunday) and feel compelled to share my experience.My wife and I arrived at the restaurant around 5-6 pm and decided to order 12 lahmacun in total – 10 to go and 1 each for us to eat there. Despite having ordered a considerable amount, the waiter insisted we couldn't have just one lahmacun per person, so I obliged and added a pide to our order. This was both rude and wrong, but I let it slide.As we proceeded with our meal, I ordered sparkling water while my wife didn't order any drink. We enjoyed our food, but couldn't finish the pide, so I packed it in a box.After the meal, I requested tea, which was served without any issue. However, I was surprised to see that the tea was charged on our bill, as it was always complimentary. When I inquired about this, the waitress explained that tea is free only if drinks are ordered during the meal. I pointed out that I did order a drink, but she said this was their company policy.Feeling perplexed, I asked if we had done anything wrong, considering the restrictions on our lahmacun order and the unexpected charge for tea. She assured me that it was just their policy and not personal, but this didn't alleviate my concerns.I expressed my disappointment to the waitress and asked her to relay my message to the management, stating that we no longer feel the same about the restaurant.Although I have previously recommended Star Pide to friends, I am disheartened by this experience and will not be returning in the near future. There are alternative establishments to consider, and I hope Star Pide changes its attitude to provide better customer service. Unfortunately, I must give Star Pide a rating of zero stars.

Food here is delicious and fresh! If you’re not in the mood for pizza or a sandwich but some kind of meat pie deff come here.

Was in Paterson and passed by this restaurant . I love Turkish pides and thought of picking up one . The store seems small from outside but has decent space. .. good service. Nice and quick food. Liked the taste of the food. Was a bit expensive though. Parking is crazy in Main Street . Overall a good experience though ..

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I WOULD!!! My family and I came to this place to eat and being Muslim, my mom and aunt needed to pray. We asked the owner if they have any space for them to pray and he said “we have no space.” Not that you can’t pray here, but “we have no space.” My aunt decided she would pray behind our table in the corner. She was peacefully praying and not bothering a single soul. While the waitress is taking our order, the owner disrupts us and is EXTREMELY rude and is ridiculing us over the fact that my aunt was praying. Even the chef came down and asked him what he was doing. We have NEVER been discriminated like this by any business owner for my family needing to pray. Star Pide, is this how you treat your customers?! DISGUSTING! DO BETTER!

Every time we visit NJ, we stop at Star Pide for lahmacun. I haven’t tasted their pides yet, but I’ll vouch for their lahmacun.
