Abruzzi Trattoria - Patterson

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However, the presence of several noisy birthday parties with unruly children detracted from the overall dining experience. The management should consider controlling the noise level or limiting the number of large parties on Saturday evenings.

This restaurant is decent. The food was satisfactory and the staff was friendly.

We decided to dine at this restaurant based on its high rating on OpenTable, which we usually trust as a reliable source. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience. The food was described as home-cooked, but it did not live up to that expectation - it was more like basic diner fare that you could find anywhere. While the prices were reasonable, the quality of the food was nothing exceptional. However, we did find the service to be excellent.

We live close by, so we go to Abruzzi often because we enjoy the cozy, rustic atmosphere of this neighborhood gem. The service is friendly and warm without being intrusive. You are given a warm basket of bread and flavored olive oil to start which is very satisfying. One of our favorite appetizers is the Calamari with Hot Sliced Cherry Peppers. We also enjoy the Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Parmesan and the Tilapia in a Lemon Butter Sauce. Great food, generous portions and a nice place to stop if your passing through Patterson, NY on Route 22 from a day a skiing.

Enjoyable food with good service. There were several large birthday celebrations going on in the room, with out of control children which made the dining experience less terrific than it could have been. Management needs to control the volume or book less large parties on a saturday evening
