The Smuggler's Rest - Peacehaven

We visited on a Friday evening for some food with the dog. Although most tables were taken it had a really nice relaxed atmosphere for the entire duration. It did take a little while to be greeted at the bar but I appreciate they were busy elsewhere. Once greeted we were taken straight to our table with menus and offered drinks. The drinks came promptly and the waitress was well informed of what pie of the day it was etc. The food came within a reasonable time and service was fantastic throughout; we never at any time felt we were trying to catch somebodies attention. No issues with the quality of the food, the Pie of the Day was huge and was served in a bowl with a pastry lid. All in all a lovely evening with great service and we would happily return.

Really nice Sunday roast, bustling inside but without feeling crowded and rushed. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable. Great views and would imagine sitting outside in summer is lovely.

Excellent roast loads of vegetables served hot and great flavour. Richard served us he was friendly, polite and very efficient. Had a short delay before our dessert just what we needed!

The Smugglers Rest has a great location just over the Cliff Walk. The service was friendly, and the food was well prepared. We had a variety of salads, sandwiches, and burgers.

Very clean and welcoming. Ordered rib eye well done. Only fault was dinner was too small. Wasn’t lot mash. Pudding was small. £159 bill reduced £20 on app was bonus.
