Tony's Tamales - Pearl

The BEST tamales EVER! I usually want shredded cheese or cheese sauce on my tamales but these are amazing without it!! And we also got an order of the red beans and rice and it was delicious!! Stop by and try you will not be sorry!! We will definitely be back soon for more amazing food!!

What a disappointment! I thought I was getting fresh tamales. I paid $9 for hot tamales that I can get for $4 at any grocery in the frozen food aisle. It is definitely a ripoff. I will never go back

What a disappointment! I thought I was getting restaurant quality tamales. I could have bought the same tamales in any grocery frozen food aisle for half the price. I don’t understand all the great reviews. Go to Walmart and get a pack for 4 or 5 dollars and heat yourself

Great place...love the chilli Tamale dinner. The gumbo is the best I have had in a long time....I also love the red beans and rice. I will definitely be going back.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. While traveling through Mississippi from Alabama to Fort Worth, we decided to stop at the Pearl location because we were craving hot tamales. We had read some great reviews and the Yelp page, as well as the restaurant's website, indicated it was open until 8 PM. However, when we arrived, there was no one there. The sign said it was open until 8, but there was no answer at the phone number listed either. What’s going on, Tony?
