Bidra med feedbackI had ordered the BBQ Brisket Burger with sweet potato fries. The items on the burger gave it so much flavor, however overall it was pretty bad. The actual burger patty was awful, it was terribly dry and made the experience bad. $11 for a burger you would expect something amazing but it?s opposite. I asked for the sweet potato fries to be cooked a little crispy and they were amazing. Best thing about my meal were the fries and the cold water they had. I would not come back,my mouth and throat is still trying to rehydrate after that very dry burger.
I went for lunch and was extremely satisfied. I was thinking it was going to be crowded as this is a popular place but was delighted that it wasn't as bad as I taught. I must say the Killens double cheeseburger did not disappoint. I normally add ketchup mustard etc but decided to try it first the way they make it and I was not dissapointed. The ingredients tasted fresh and definitely will have me coming back again. The workers were great and I really liked the oldiesdiner vibe in the restaurant.
The burger patties were incredibly juicy and cooked to a perfect medium rare (you have the option to choose your doneness, but if you don't specify, they'll cook it medium well). Each order is made fresh to order, so everything tastes great. Considering the size, the price is quite reasonable.
I had the Big K burger, a double-decker, and I couldn't finish it! It might have been because of the sweet potato fries, the onion rings, or the strawberry shake! We were really looking forward to trying the cheese curds, but they were out today. That's okay; we'll definitely come back! By the way, my daughter really enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak and the authentic Dublin cream soda! The atmosphere and ambiance were fantastic!
After sitting down, we noticed there seemed to be delays in the kitchen. Our burgers were sitting in the pass, and I could see other customers making multiple trips to the counter to check on their orders. Food began to come out slowly, but there was a lot of noise in the dining room, making it hard to hear the person calling out orders. Eventually, I saw our order waiting in the pass since the customers in front of us had received their meals. After a long wait, my name was finally called. I approached the counter and was handed two trays with our burgers, but there were no onion rings or fries. It turned out they had run out of onion rings and were still waiting on the fries. I was told they would call my name when the fries were ready and would credit my card for the onion rings. I returned to the booth, but other orders were coming out with fries while we were still waiting. This situation did not leave a good impression. Although the food tasted good, the chaos in the kitchen was off-putting. In my opinion, there are better burger options in the Clear Lake area.
