This place has been around since my childhood. The food hasn't changed a whole lot which is a great thing. The combination plate has always been my favorite. The carnitas lunch special is pretty great too. Fajitas here aren't like most Tex-Mex places you are used to. There's not show of smoke or a cast iron plate, just Fajitas... The service has always been great. You see the regulars that come in and the servers are always a little cheeky but very good at what the do. Some of them have been there close to a decade. Unfortunately, another thing that hasn't changed much is the building. Though it's iconic with its hexagonal shape, the inside is beginning to look run down. The light fixtures old florescent lights... some rusted... some just missing with the wires hanging out of the ceiling. Overall, a great experience of Texas border food.
The beef fajitas were delicious, all the other guests food looked delicious as well. Service was friendly and pleasant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beef Fajitas
Pricey in comparison with San Antonio (where I live) but what isn't overpriced in this area? Everything is priced as if every single one of us is getting oil rich!. My beef fajitas quesadilla were mostly cheese no visible pieces of fajita. Service was great, one star deduction for high price and skimping on the fajita on a fajita based dish, not on par with the price, just my opinion. Service: Dine in
I got a asdo burrito and a small muendo, it was really good, loved the homemade tortillas. My other half hour the bacon breakfast plate and very good and portions were pretty good to.
