Shugah's - Pelham

I love this place. I?ve been twice. The first time I had the chicken salad on some kind of bread, don?t remember what, but it was great. The second time, I had the trio salad, my favorite! The chicken salad pimento cheese can?t be beat! I also had a dessert, Betsy?s special I think, amazing!!

This was my first visit to Shugah's and I will definitely be going back! This is a delightful little tea house. I had the turkey sandwich on walnut cranberry bread with a cherry cream spread, cucumber, tomato and onion salad on the side. Top notch. I highly recommend Shugah's.

I must say I am SO GLAD we tried Shugah 's! With such a small menu and photos of food that looked a little nondescript I was ready to be disappointed. I WAS WRONG! The bacon and sundried tomato quiche was excellent. My husband 's chicken salad sandwich was very good as well. Their chicken salad is a yellow curry-style which I don 't normally eat but it 's delicious and I would order again! Their tomato cucumber onion salad is so refreshing and tangy. It 's quite different than taziki 's so don 't expect that! SO yummy though. I think the best part besides the food is the amazing ambiance that they have preserved in this century-old home. It is so gorgeous and I want to visit just to sit in one of the dining rooms. It is just beautiful! I hope they get enough business to eventually expand their staff and menu to keep up with demand. A few more options would be nice, but the options they have are delicious. I have ordered a whole pie for Christmas and I cannot WAIT! I hope they can maybe expand on coffee and tea options or even offer a 'tea service ' or southern cocktails as it seems like the perfect setting for it. The host and owner, Bob, was so sweet and took us on a tour of the home and chatted with us for some time. Loved it! GO TO SHUGAH 'S!

Went today for lunch for the first time and was very happy with the food and service. Their beer bread turkey sandwich and potatoe salad were delicious and their chocolate pie was fantastic. The owner, who is also a photographer, was so kind and gave my daughter one of his pictures that he took of the area. This is a great local tea house set in one of the oldest homes in the area. If you like supporting local businesses, this is the place to go.
