Hoppie's Landing - Pellston

Ordered a mushroom and pepperoni pizza for takeout. The service was very fast and pretty friendly, and even though I fell behind on the order time (20 minutes), the pizza was still warm. The mushrooms were a little bitter but I think it is because I'm usedto hearty fast food mushrooms. The sauce itself was zesty and very delicious, and there was a perfect amount of cheese. I wasonly two slices in and already felt full because of how hearty and delicious it was. I will definitely order more sometime!

Took the parents because dad heard good things about the all-you-can-eat fish. They loved the fish and tartar sauce, but didn?t care for the coleslaw. I had pizza and the crust was nice and soft. Either go early or go late because it?s popular. Very nicelounge area if you have to wait for seating though. Friendly staff, good service.

During the weekend of December 3, we visited the area for a robotics competition, coming from Novi. We placed our dinner order on Friday, and the manager ensured that the pizzas were ready exactly when we needed them. Everything went perfectly. The following day, the restaurant opened at noon, while our competition lunch was at 12:30. I asked the manager, Greg, if we could still pick up our order at noon, and he confirmed that we could. When I arrived at 12, I was thrilled to find that the pizzas were already prepared! The service from the restaurant was outstanding. Since I had ordered 10 pizzas, the manager even came out to help me load them into my car! Now, regarding the pizzas: everyone on the team absolutely loved them. We ordered single-topping veggie pizzas, and over the course of two days, people tried each variety and had nothing but positive feedback!

We ordered a pizza for takeout, but had some trouble locating Hoppies Landing because we were out of town and hadn't seen any signs. I called Hoppies to ask for directions and discovered that it's located inside Pellston Regional Airport. The pizza was decent—certainly not the best I've ever had—but a 14-inch pie cost $23, which we felt was a bit pricey. On the bright side, the service was excellent!

It was great to watch the planes and other aviation activity. The staff may be few in number, but they were cheerful and friendly. The food was quite good as well.
