Pentland Hills Cafe Express - Penicuik

The location is stunning and peaceful during the weekdays. We enjoyed a delightful meal outside on the benches, and the coffee was the best I've had in a long time!

This is the ideal spot for a quick coffee or a snack after exploring the Pentlands. The hot rolls, roasted paninis, and coffee were all excellent, and the service was both prompt and friendly. There’s a fantastic array of mouthwatering cakes that fellow hikers highly recommended, although, regretfully, we didn't get the chance to try them during our visit.

We had a nice lunch break in this creepy gemstone. we had the suppe of the day, a panini and the meal of the day. a beautiful Italian recipe that tasted fantastic. the owner is very friendly and both felt so cozy. what a perfect, hidden place before or after a walk at the reservoir. many thanks for this new moment and we will definitely come back.

We frequently visit this café to meet my dear friends Alex and his wife, and everything here is just perfect. The natural surroundings, fresh air, soothing sounds, and great atmosphere contribute to an amazing experience. Plus, they have THE BEST CAKE and serve the FINEST COFFEE IN SCOTLAND! We picked up three cakes: honey cake, chocolate and cherry cake, and a snickers cake.
