Bidra med feedbackThis is a great little pub. I lived in England for nearly 20 years and travel all over Wales, Scotland and Ireland, so I 've had a great many meals and drinks in many many pubs. This place has the best 'pub ' atmosphere that I 've found here in the States. The majority of 'pubs ' here in the US are pretty much just a pub themed restaurant, but not this lovely little gem. I had the traditional pub grub, bangers and mash, and it was great. Definitely a must go to place.
A rainy day in Peoria just chill in an Irish restaurant. Food is delicious, especially the tenderloin. Service was absolutely spot on, Kim is the best! I must mention that the washrooms were absolutely clean. I'm back and I hope I'll meet you all.
Donnellys does catfish right. In all my travels, I have to find even better catfishes. Friday, 7 others and I decided to book a table, enjoy apps and drinks and finish our night with catfish dinner. And it was one of the most pleasant experiences I had for a long time. As much as we wanted to synchronize the drinking and the waitress wanted to make less trips to the bar, it never happened. But to my unbelief when you were empty, our waitress was there with another one. This combined with the local atmosphere for a great few hours for us all while we caught. We ordered bacon blueries and cheese curds. Both were top notch. I know my cheese and that was a good cheese. Not over or undercooked and thin bread, these puppies are safe to please. After 2 hours of chat and apps the cat was ordered, even in a full house it came within 30 minutes. Hot, fresh, crispy, this thing was so loose, I only had bones to prove what I ordered. That thing was purrfect. My whole experience was from this world. Drinks, apps, dinner, service, atmosphere, you call it, I was impressed. I'll be back soon! Thank you, Donnelley's!
I had fish and chips. She'll skip. I should have found Captain d or Long John silver. 20 bucks for some chips and 2 pieces of fish I would have bought and cooked at hy vee. Sad.
Really poor experience here on 11/25/22. I 've been frequenting Donnelly 's since the early 90 's and have never had an experience that would prevent me from returning, until last night.Ordered large tenderloin to share. Asked for onion, extra pickle and mayonnaise on side. Waitress said she would bring an extra plate and an extra bun. Bun was $1.75, charged me .50 for mayo, and .35 for extra pickle. Sandwich had total of 5 pickles. Sandwich did not have 5 pieces of onion so my wife asked for more. Waitress brought a bowl with a few more pieces upon request. Wife had ordered a house salad . It came out in the pictured bowl. Photographed after half eaten unfortunately. Salad consisted of 4 bites of romaine, one cherry tomato sliced in half and 2 pieces of onion. $5.25 plus tax. Initially tried to charge us for first salad dressing and one extra. Waitress did remove the first salad dressing after we complained. She had asked if we wanted a side of fries or basket. We asked about difference in cost and she said $1.50. it was $3 difference.Tenderloin was luke warm at best when it came out. Never received refill on drinks. Took 8 to 10 mins after we requested check. Asked for manager and it turns out our waitress was the manager. She said she has no control over food portions (salad) and indicated they had a lot going on back there assuming that is the kitchen and an 18 top to serve in the dining room. When we walked in we were immediately seated and the place was half full. It did fill up as we were there. We paid our bill and tipped before airing our grievances as we weren 't looking for anything other than to be refunded for the original salad dressing mind you. The waitress was indifferent at best. Not a great representative for your small business.Unfortunately, we will not return.
