Bidra med feedbackWe arrived at our rental home late afternoon and had dinner here because it was close by. This is a family run business and we were surrounded by tables full of locals. The service was great as was the food except the choices were a bit limited - we had arrived on the day the restaurant was closing for the season - This is definitely a good choice as a place to eat -
This family-run restaurant is about 10 km to the west of "downtown" Perce, but well worth the short drive. It was recommended by our Auberge and by some fellow tourists we ran into the previous day. The battered fish was perfect- very light breading, fish lovely and moist. Hubby had the fish and chips, I had the fish and a Caesar salad. Both were excellent. No small sizes here - each dish came with 3 pieces of fish, but they weren't huge, just right - I had no problem cleaning my plate! The Caesar salad came with a nice dressing, real bacon bits but I have to admit the shredded cheese was mozz or monterray jack, not parmesan. I ate it all, and enjoyed every bite. I believe the fish and chips were about $18, a bit more for the fish and salad. Worth it. (No idea about the rest of the menu, we were focussed on the fish.)
About 10 minute drive away from the congested crowded area of Percé so the prices were a bit better. The food was excellent. We had poutine and salad. Yummy.
Slightly outside of town, which was nice to get away from the busy tourist scene. It appeared popular with locals, which we thought was a good sign. Very friendly family service and generous portions. My husband was not dissapointed with their fish and chips Maison. It is not fancy, but good value and tasty.
We went looking for fish and chips. This restaurant seems to be family run. I did not expect the 3 pieces of hand breaded cod along with really good fries, vegetables and a bit of salad for the $17 a plate price. This place also serves pizza which appears to be quite popular both as in restaurant meals as well as take out. There was other seafood as well as some pasta and meat dishes on the menu. I also treated myself to a piece of Quebec sugar pie after the meal. One of the best I have had other than my mom's.The only drawback from my perspective is that they do not accept credit cards.
