El Mexicano e - Perkins

We adore this small Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the prices are fantastic! We especially enjoy the fajitas, and on Thursdays you can indulge in all-you-can-eat cheese enchiladas.

Standard fare Mexican food. But better than several in Stillwater and Cushing. Got really hard stares from other customers though--no idea why, and no place to hide.

El Mexicano is a hidden gem in Perkins, Oklahoma! I had dined here years ago and remembered the delicious Mexican cuisine. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We were served complimentary tortillas, queso sauce, and table salsa, all of which were delicious. The salsa had the perfect texture with just the right balance of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro, and packed a nice level of heat. The food was fantastic, and the attentive wait staff made the experience even better. The decor added to the Mexican-themed ambiance. Next time I'm in Perkins, I will definitely be returning to El Mexicano for another meal!

The restaurant wasn't crowded and our server appeared annoyed as soon as we were seated at our table. We ordered iced tea for our beverages but she brought us what appeared to be murky water. (Refer to picture) The server seemed even more agitated when I requested a new iced tea. Overall, the experience was lackluster. The only time she seemed pleasant was when we paid our bill.

Very nice Mexican food and great service.
