Bidra med feedbackWill caveat this by saying I'm not a huge fan of sushi but I had the chicken kung pao, one of the couple non-sushi items on the menu. It was pretty good, got a lot of food for the price. It may have been slightly higher quality than the local chinese food restaurants, but again a bit more expensive than those places.
First off, I have to say this is one of my favourite sushi places ever! The quality is amazing, especially coming from such a small town where it’s most likely harder to get your hands on fresh fish. Ordering is super simple and the staff is very friendly and helpful, so if you’re not sure how much to get or what to get they’ll help you out! Me and my parents always get the fried dumplings and seafood tempura to go along with our sushi as both dishes taste absolutely amazing. Our favourite type of sushi is definitely the spicy tuna or just the simple salmon and avocado! Hope this helped!
This restaurant looks like nothing from the outside. But when we got in, we were welcomed with a big smile, and this same smile stayed with us the whole time. We had the all you can eat option, and often, this equals slow service or bad quality. We were all surprised by the speed at which the plates kept coming. We never ran out of sushi, and we are pretty fast eaters. Everything tasted extremely fresh and the flavors were all there. The only thibg I could stay is the amount of options with raw fish is a little bit on the low side. Other than that, awesome. Don't bother going to Pembroke.
Several of us for dinner and we all elected to go for the all-you-can-eat service. Our server (the bill sys "Mel") was attentive and accommodating. He kept apologizing for mixing things up - but I never was aware of any mix up from our table's perspective. The menu appeared to be unchanged from last year, and the pricing on the all-you-can-eat was still $23.99 for adults plus $2 surcharge on Fri-Sun but there is $2 off for seniors at all times. Bill for 5 of us (3 are seniors) with 2 pop was $121.96 with tax but before tip. No coffee. Open 11Am to 9PM Sun to Thur but until 10PM Fri and Sat. Request your choice of forks or chopsticks. We will be back for another special occasion. Reservations would be a good idea regardless of the day of the week.
We always go for the all you can eat. We order a variety of vegetarian rolls (lots and lots of options!) as well as tempura (love the sweet potato and zucchini!) and I love the veggie pan fried ramen noodles. Rolls are good sized (some places make them too big and it's a challenge to even eat), ingredients fresh and nicely presented. Good value for your dollar for the all you can eat option. Servers are prompt and friendly. Can be a busy spot so we always go at off-times and it's great. Great spot to get your sushi fix here in Petawawa!
