Alpen Rose - Philadelphia

The food was phenomenal! We had the bone marrow toast, octopus, and oysters to start. We had the tomahawk steak, duck and Bronzino for our entrees with Mac cheese, fries, and mushrooms as sides. Everything was great. The staff was attentive and theatmosphere was cute! You press a doorbell to enter, cute porcelain plates, books lining the walls- very Alice in wonderlandvibes

The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. The server was attentive and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. The only downside was that both of our entrees, which we ordered cooked to medium, were a bit overdone. The beef wellington in particular was slightly tough. However, the steak was incredible! I would definitely recommend this restaurant over any other steakhouse in Philly.

This restaurant was absolutely stunning! My boyfriend reserved a table for us for our anniversary, knowing that I am a steak loving girl. The entry to the restaurant was hilariously mysterious and incredibly low-key. Everything about our time here wasan experience. Super romantic and intimate. Food was PHENOMENAL! Finding a great steak in the Philadelphia area can sometimesfeel impossible for me. However, the cut, sauce, and cooking was literal perfection! Chefs. Kiss. Thank you so much for awonderful anniversary. We really did have a splendid time here ??

Located in Philadelphia, this beautiful boutique steakhouse may be small, but it is full of surprises. Look for a rose on the exterior wall and ring the doorbell to enter - it's a fun little quirk of the restaurant. The wait staff was attentive and even brought us some sparkling wine to celebrate our engagement. They also shared their sister restaurant's spicy Asian sauce, perfect for seafood and steak. We enjoyed the gulf shrimp appetizer, which was large and flavorful. For our main course, we shared the porterhouse steak, grilled asparagus with Parmesan, and the delicious beer-battered onion rings. Make sure to try those onion rings - they are a must-have! To end our meal, the baked Alaska was flambéed tableside. While the meat was not perfect, the excellent service from the manager and staff made our evening unforgettable. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant.

We may have tried everything on the menu and it was all fantastic. Additionally, the waiter who served us was friendly and incredibly helpful.
