Effie's - Philadelphia

The restaurant is very good overall, but it was disappointing to find out that they no longer offer one of their entrees.

We received poor service (server not coming to Our table for a very long time, wrong entree brought and then taking over 30 minutes to bring the correct one, no refill of pita) and no apology by the waiter. Food was fine but the lack Of attention by the server made the experience poor.

We dined on the enclosed patio, which was very pleasant. The food and service were both excellent.

This Greek restaurant is a beloved institution with a charming, rustic atmosphere. It offers three distinct dining rooms to choose from and is located in a beautiful part of the city. The restaurant has been owned by the same family for many years. If you don't greet Effie first, she will be sure to say hello to you. I have fond memories of when Effie's parents first opened this restaurant, and she continues to uphold their tradition with grace.

Great neighborhood spot. The food is consistently great, the staff warm and wonderful, and the dinner always great.
