Bidra med feedbackWe don't go to High Street often. It is just located inconveniently for us. However, I decided to try La Bocca Wine Bar Urban Kitchen based on reviews online. We were not disappointed. It is charmingly decorated with bright orange and large doors opening to their patio. It is intimate as not too large or impersonal. The service was outstanding and the food presentation and quality great. We enjoyed a tasty French onion soup that could have had more cheese but still very good. I had their chicken salad that has no mayo they use vinegar and it is very good. Their bread is a pizza bread. A hit with us! We were very glad we tried this restaurant and will definitely return.
My husband, daughter, and I went for an early dinner to La Bocca. It was still happy hour, so we both took advantage of the wine deal and ordered a glass each (white for me, red for him) along with a salad appetizer. The salad came out, but our drinks were no where to be found. When we asked our server, she did quickly run over to the bar, find them, and apologize for the delay. They don 't have a children 's menu, but you can DIY a pizza and so we ordered one with just cheese on it for her- and she scarfed it. I had the garlic pizza, at the server 's suggestion, and it was equally delicious. The only drawback really is that they seated us right next to the doors leading outside- which meant we got blasted with cold air every time someone went in and out of the doors. Other than that, we had a lovely time and would definitely go back.
Great little place to stop after work, or before or after an event. This time of year, ask to be seated outside. Perfect, light nosh offerings, good service, warm atmosphere.
Very good service, great food, good prices. A local favorite
La Boccaccio was selected by some friends, and it turned out to be a great choice. It was so good that we decided to take different friends there the following evening. They also enjoyed it immensely and plan to return.
