Bidra med feedbackMy group of five dined at this restaurant, but none of us enjoyed our meals. However, the service was exceptional.
On December 23rd, the atmosphere at Match was lively and festive, without being overly crowded. It was the perfect spot for a post-Lessons and Carols gathering with friends from nearby Trinity Cathedral. The food varied in quality from decent to excellent, and the server was attentive and eager to please.
We visited this restaurant for the first time and my family will definitely be back very soon!
I was on my way to a concert with some friends when we decided to stop by for drinks and dinner. I have been to two pairing dinners and the Willy Wonka dinner before, and I absolutely adore Match! The atmosphere is fantastic, I love that they showcase local artists, the food and drinks are amazing and always offer a unique experience, and even the bathrooms are cool!
I went to the restaurant for a prix fixe Thanksgiving Dinner. The hostess was welcoming when I arrived. I sat at the bar as per my reservation. The restaurant was not very busy and the bar was even quieter. The bartenders did not greet me and I had to wait a few minutes to be asked if I wanted a drink. There was no Thanksgiving greeting, no inquiry about whether I would be dining that night. When I finally got my drink, it had the wrong garnish but that was easily fixed. Eventually, I was given a menu. I requested to leave a couple of items off my order, not substitutions, just asking for no this or that, please. The salad came out almost immediately, followed by my entree a few minutes later. It seemed like nothing was being cooked to order, as they couldn't time the entree to come out after the salad was finished, which was quite annoying. Despite the service issues, the meal was delicious. The turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, bread, etc. were all really good. I would recommend the restaurant solely based on the quality of the food. However, the service continued to disappoint. There was no follow-up, no inquiry about how everything was, and no offer of dessert or coffee. I had had enough of the lackluster service by that point. I asked for my check, left a tip, and departed.
