Quiessence at The Farm at South Mountain

We had a very special evening at Quiessence and overall, I would recommend it for special occasions or more often as your budget allows. We enjoyed the five-course New Year's Eve dinner menu and almost everything was excellent, although my husband did not care for his ribeye. The wine pairings were splendid and the service was impeccable. Everything served was carefully prepared as a work of art (especially the pumpkin soup and the crudo). We had a really beautiful evening and it was a fantastic way to ring in the new year.

We had requested gluten-free options when making our reservation, but unfortunately the staff did not acknowledge this request or make any accommodations. The service at the restaurant was extremely slow, and the food was not consistent in quality. While some dishes lived up to the restaurant's reputation, others, such as the couscous stuffed lobster, were dry and inedible. Despite the beautiful ambiance and the fact that we enjoyed being back at the restaurant, our New Year's Eve dinner felt disorganized and disjointed. The staff was friendly, but we had to repeatedly ask for drinks and flag them down for service. They seemed to pay more attention to a larger table nearby than to our needs. I even had to eat an entire dish, the Caesar salad, without a knife, which made it difficult to cut up the lettuce. Overall, while the restaurant is lovely and some dishes were excellent, I would not recommend the pre fixed menu. We left feeling quite disappointed.

Lovely experience! The food was amazingly good and offered the opportunity to try new and unusual dishes. Our waiter was exceptionally professional while exuding an open and friendly aspect.

We were completely impressed by our experience at this restaurant! The food, ambiance, and service provided by our server, Jamal, were all top-notch. We will definitely be returning to enjoy this place for many years to come! 

This was the most surreal dining experience I have personally ever been a part of. The flavors, presentations, and overall quality of the dishes are something you may only ever get to experience once in your life. I would highly recommend!
