Bidra med feedbackA great new place in the center of Phoenix. Sekong by Night is a relatively new Cambodia restaurant in the center of Phoenix. There is a tough competition there are several very good Vietnamese and Thai places in the area and Cambodian cuisine, less known than Thai or Vietnamese, both connected. Happy for Diners, Sekong by Night not disappointed. We ate late yesterday. We ordered spring rolls, beef kewers (sort of a Cambodian version of Satay and chicken noodle soup (Cambodian chicken pho). Every dish was excellent. The spring rolls were filled with chicken, shrimp and mint and served with a light fish sauce with diving sauce. It was like eating in a little sky. The soup, served in a large bowl, was meaty with many noodles, served with bean sprouts and mint on the side and again, excellent. The cows were the best of the pile. Served with a diving sauce, a small part of jasmine rice and a small carrot papaya salad. We finished the whole meal with a common desert of fried bananas in tapioca with coconut milk. The whole meal put us back $24, which I considered an excellent price. The average duck is under $10. Portions are the perfect size for a person. A couple can order a common appetizer and two entrees and get out for about $20. I was very impressed by everything that this little hole in the wall (the most prominent turtle says parking behind. The food is excellent, the price is correct and the service friendly.
This place is fantastic! I loved the Cambodian mixed grill (they were out of beef skewers), I actually appreciate a restaurant running out of things because it’s fresh. We also had the mi Chen egg noodle with shrimp and beef 10/10! The lemongrass beef was amazingly prepared and like no other dishes I’ve tasted. I will be a regular here, even the sweetened coffee is to die for! Thank you!!!
OMG! Food was lit! Great flavors. I order the pan seared fish with mango salad on top and beef fried rice, both were delicious. Very affordable. Portions are good for one person. They open at 2p.
Cambodian food cooked by a Cambodian emigre and served by her son, try the Cafe thuk.do.koh Drip coffee with condensed milk. And I am already craving the Cambodian BBQ pork chop two days later.
Reathrey Selling got recommended to me by a friend so I decided to check it out. It is honestly one of the best places I have eaten in Arizona. The skewers were fantastic as well as the egg rolls. I also decided to try their guava juice and it didn't disappoint. For dessert, I got the jackfruit sticky rice and it was great, but I do wish it came with something to dip in like coconut milk. Overall, I would come back here again if I'm in the area as the food is just really good.
