Old Forge Distillery - Pigeon Forge

There appears to be a distillery on nearly every corner in this area, and since it was along our hiking trail, we decided to stop by. They offered a variety of moonshine flavors, and I think my favorite was the peach. They also had some products for sale, so I picked up an item, but I didn't buy any glow-in-the-dark items.

Upon entering, you're welcomed by the enticing aroma of moonshine. There's a bar as soon as you walk in, but the real gem is the tasting bar located in the back. During my visit, I was allowed to sample up to 10 different moonshines. I intended to try all 10 but ended up sampling just a few. The Amaretto was incredible, especially since I’m a fan of Disaronno. The Banana Foster flavor tasted reminiscent of artificial bananas with a touch of vanilla, while the French Toast was like drinking straight maple syrup. The bartender suggested a delightful orange and margarita blend. Since my wife was my designated driver, I gave it a try on her behalf, knowing she would enjoy it. In the end, we settled on Amaretto, Banana Foster, and the orange blend. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here and would definitely love to return in the future. I just hope they make their way to the Chicagoland area so I can enjoy this delicious moonshine again!

Don't overlook the Old Forging Distillery! I had some of the best moonshine there during my visit. The service was excellent, and the staff were very helpful in guiding me through their wide selection of flavors. I’d rate it a perfect 10/10!

We tasted 10 different flavors of moonlight completely free, and totally delicious! Ask Chris, he was so brilliant and super funny. He came with many good mix ideas you need to try. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

This is a must when in the area, because how can you not. This has to be one of our best highlights of our recent trip to smoky mountains! Tasters? Yes!!... Let me rephrase .... FREe Tasters for days!!! Brian? I think... Was awesome .. energetic, with tons of fun related jokes and facts about the distillery and its spirits.cant wait to visit again when in the area.As if one tasting station wasnt enough., They had multiple stations throughout the distillery. And cool little items for souvenirs. the other stations had small fees. One minor thing...wish they had travel friendly little samplers for sale.
