Excellent South Indian vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Great selection of dosas. Staff is friendly and happy to make suggestions. Great option for a good Indian meal. As one reviewer stated. prices could be cheaper, but at least you get quality food and good portions.

Update: Slow service, slow management and overcrowded place. One table is not served at a time. One item served on one table gets finished and after a couple of minutes the second item is served. I have not seen this kind of service in any other restaurant. I have felt in my multiple visits that food is prepared in batches. So one or more food items might not be crispy or fresh from the pan. One or more food items tend to be soggy and lose its texture when served. It takes alot of time to bring the food from the kitchen to the table. The place does get chaotic and loud. Please serve all items on one table at the same time so that customers can enjoy the food. Definitely not coming back with such a terribleservice. Old: Awesome service and amazing food! Portions are sufficient and the chutneys are delicious. Nice ambiance and overall a satisfying experience. Great job!!! We will definitely be back for more. ????

Dear Readers and future Diners, This is a pure vegetarian restaurant. Pretty packed on weekends but no dearth for good food. I am used to eating very mildly spiced food but they were tad bit spicy. Since we wanted to try their Thali menu, we were in early on Saturday by 11:30am. But still we were late as the inside seats were completely packed by then. Son loves their dosas ,Husband loves his Thali set and myself a bit of both of these. It's a simple no nonsense affair.From mango saffron lassi to Mysore pak. They are done right! Our Thali meal consisted of a variety rice, utappam, mint chilly chutney, payasam, the dals, sambhar, yoghurt rice and fryums to complete it. My sambhar vada was nicely soaked upand my son's paneer dosa was a HIT. Balaji cafe gives you simple food and it's truly divine. Enjoy and make sure your there early to avoid disappointments of no parking/ no seating or sold out menu! *This write up is based on my personalexperience and no solicitation involved. Excellent authentic south indian food. Walk in, order at the counter and pick up when they announce your number. The 'mini tittin ' is an excellent sampler if you don 't know what to order. If spice is your taste, order one of the special dosas.

Terrible experience. The service was extremely bad. Everyone was unfriendly, no one was polite or even welcoming. It made us feel unwelcome. For a restaurant that serves like any other restaurant, and after giving 15% tip, it is terrible to have such unprofessional service. Everyone looked upset. In front of all other customers the waiter walked us to the table to point out our dishes and tell us to pick up everything and them outside and put them in a cleaning area. The tablenext to us had 8 guests, we arrived about 10 minutes earlier, all of them were served first. There was one hair in our paneer butter masala! The dish was a soup with floating paneer. We paid $54 for two masalas, 2 pieces of naan, 2 samosasand 2 cups of rice. We will not be back. I do not recommend this place.
