Frio Creamery - Pittsburgh

I wish I could give a more positive review like others, but my experience at Frio was disappointing. I ordered a banana split expecting it to look like the one on their Google page, but it was served in a cup with all the toppings smashed on top. I had to eat all the toppings before getting to any ice cream, which made it the most bizarre banana split I've ever had. It was my first time at Frio and I feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

I got a black berry (might be a different berry) cheesecake on a waffle cone. It was awesome.

FRIO Creamery always has options that are gluten free AND dairy free which is great for folks with allergies! The gf/dairy free flavors are creamy, flavorful, and don't feel like an afterthought you can tell they put as much effort into those flavors as they do any others! I have tried several different varieties of ice cream here, both gf/dairy free and standard, and have never been disappointed. The staff is also extremely friendly!

Excellent ice cream, and the waffle cone (slightly thinner and crunchier than normal) was *delicious*. Simple order: chocolate ice cream on a waffle cone, but easily the best I've had in a while.
