Poulet Bleu - Pittsburgh

We had a wonderful experience in the outdoor dining area. While we found both the onion soup and duck confit to be a bit too salty for our taste, I wouldn’t discourage everyone from trying them. However, you definitely should sample their signature dessert and burger!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which offers delicious French-inspired cuisine bursting with flavor. The dishes were beautifully plated, enhancing the overall presentation. I chose the duck and truly enjoyed it, while other guests who ordered the beef were also impressed. There are plenty of unique options on the menu. The cocktails perfectly complemented the cuisine and were quite tasty. Finding street parking was fairly easy. The interior décor is lovely, but we opted to sit outside. While the atmosphere was pleasant, I did find the constant passing buses and utility vehicles a bit distracting, especially given the restaurant's price range. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this place!

We had a fantastic date night at the chef's table. We savored a bottle of wine, pâté, the perfectly cooked NY strip, roasted carrots with cream, and a Niçoise salad. I highly recommend everything! Despite being quite busy with limited staff, the service was exceptional.

Reservations are required. There is outdoor seating, first floor seating and second floor seating. This was one of my most memorable dining experiences. The menu is a short well-curated list with no possibility for making a bad selection. The dishes have a balanced presentation with plenty of color. The entire meal and setting are an experience. For example, when placing down plates, the servers will orient the plates so that Poulet Bleu is right side up and readable by the guest. For ice cream, they even freeze the dish so that it stays cold longer. All of these details elevate the meal.

The staff were friendly, and some members of our party thought the food, especially the steak, was excellent. However, it was hard to fully enjoy the evening after sitting out in the cold for 15 minutes. Thankfully, the company we were with made up for the chilly wait, and we ended up having a wonderful night. The atmosphere was very nice overall. As for parking, it was paid street parking.
