Wendy's - Pittsburgh

I arrived around 9:40, perhaps a bit earlier, and found the restaurant closed, even though their posted hours indicate they close at 10. This isn't the first time this has happened; they seem to close whenever they feel like it and just hang out inside.

I ordered the Biggie Bag for $5, which includes a bacon cheeseburger, nuggets, and fries. I had intended to get a strawberry Frosty, but since they no longer have it, I opted for a coffee instead. The fries were only half full, comprised mostly of tiny pieces and crumbs, and they were cold. I usually like to eat my fries first, so I pulled them out while still in the parking lot, and they were definitely not even warm. The nuggets were warm, which gave me some hope, but then I opened the burger. To my dismay, the meat was colder than the fresh lettuce; it was so cold that the cheese hadn’t even melted. I hesitated to eat it, concerned about how long it had been sitting at a temperature below room temperature and whether it was safe to consume. However, I had a long, exhausting day, a grueling drive home ahead of me in the snow and rain, and I hadn’t eaten anything all day. I didn't want to stop again, so I figured I would just eat it. To my disappointment, it was as cold as the lettuce—not even at room temperature. As for the coffee? Surprise—it was cold too. At least the chicken nuggets were warm.

To all the critics out there: the staff here really puts in a lot of effort and deserve to be appreciated for what they have to manage. They are short-staffed and underpaid, so let’s show some support for our local Wendy’s and spread some positivity. It's not an easy job!

This location has the SLOWEST, Worst drive thru! It isn?t because there are so many cars?5 cars in line take a good 20+ minutes! I used to think it was lack of staff. But tonight there were three young people at the window, besides the others inthe kitchen that I could see. Tons of Hair flying everywhere- no hats or hair nets, butts hanging out (guys busting a sag intheir jeans?-certainly nothing I wanted to see as I picked up my food).

We usually go to this Wendy's, although we have one in Penn Hills. Simply put, this place offers good quality food and we had no wrong order.
