Steak 'n Shake - Plainfield

I feel like a plädoyer, but this review seems to reflect more corporate than local decisions. the doors were closed and you can not eat around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. more question? Don't shake. Don't shake and steak a shake. what a sad thing. I hate to see this once big brand running into the floor. I saw lot of locked places on Thai trip.

A lovely driving feeling. slower and sad service. they could not shake on that day. we ordered 3 burgers and they packed 2 burgers in the bag. they were not busy. there were only 3 cars in the car-dru line at the time we were there. we were the second car in the line.

After we managed to place our order, we saw three workers in the kitchen starting to cook. We tried to find a table, but every single one was dirty and sticky. My wife had to wipe down the table with disinfecting wipes before our children could even sit down. Once we finally got our food, everything was cold, and there were four meals that were unappetizing. I ordered a cup of chili, paid extra for cheese and onions, but it came out looking like a watery brown soup. There were no beans, no meat—just brown liquid with cheese and onions floating on top. To top it all off, the chili was served cold! One of my sons was so frustrated with the entire experience that he went outside because it was cleaner out there. I would not recommend this place, and I hope they get their act together soon.

It was a bit to eat with the road to home and this place was pathetic. no shakes, no hot pirates, and they had to pay with exact changes. how does a steak and shake not shake? would not recommend this particular location ever!

This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. My family walked into a completely empty restaurant, no employees were seen for the first 10 mins. We placed our order on the kiosk, which is a horrible idea to force customer to have to place orders manually. The floors we so sticky that all of our shoes sounded like we were walking on gum. We place the order then 3 employees run out of the back room to start cooking. We go look for a table, and every single table was nasty and sticky. My wife had to clean the table with wipes before my kids could even sit. Then we wait for our food to come out. We get our food and all of the fries are cold, all four orders! One of my son's were so grossed out with the whole experience, he requsted to go outside, where it was cleaner. I would pass on this location until they get their act together.
