Hickory By Kent Rathbun - Plano

With a group of seven and we all enjoyed Hickory. Pig meat, chicken, Bisonburger were all very good. Pages of fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts were ordered to share family style. All right. Some other reviews have commented that it is not true Texas bbq, and I agree with it (it is more southeast BBQ), but it is very good!

Very good, but not great. While prices for West Plano/Frisco were surprisingly cheap, the sizes were a little small. (Specifisch the appetizers. But the quality of food and friendly service both earn a thumb up.

The food was just OK. I had the pork spareribs and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. The ribs were good, but you can tell that they were not smoked. The Brussel sprouts were crispy, because they were burnt. Very nice staff and the dining room itself is very well done. I will go again and try something else.

Our party of 4 all enjoyed the food, including appetizer, entrees dessert. The meats were good quality and well prepared. The sides were delicious. The burgers were very good and also a great value as they included a side.

Wish the sliced brisket was more lean. Fish was outstanding. Beans and Brussels sprouts superb. And the cobbler was excellent.
