Chop Chop Korean Bbq - Pleasant Hill

Okay, first. The food. I'm Korean, but seriously, the food is delicious. This place was earlier another Korean restaurant pre-pandemic, but everything is new / different / changed now and this is another example. Back to dinner... The banana is well made and tasteful and has authentic flavors that really hard to do is good. The Kim Chee Jigae is OUT THIS WORLD!!!!! The flavor, without being salted, is what surprised me. They also had a Korean beer I've never had, so it was pretty cool. I had to order the Kal Bi. That was great too. The manager/owner said that an order 1 and a half person would feed, but we found that it was easy to feed 2 and in our case they brought 4 proper ribs and there were all 4 of us. Granted 2 of my party were small (actually 1 small and my teenage son, who could bring the food away). One of the problems I had was that things I asked didn't show up and I either had to ask for them several times or the wrong appeared. Finally, I asked to cancel some items from our order. If it weren't for that, I would give it a 5-star rating. In the end, it was not a big deal, but I can see that these things are exacerbated during high volumes such as Friday or Saturday nights. I think it's a 4.5-star place. Well done, authentic Korean food is hard to do and good places are a rarity. I would be more than happy to drive an hour to come back with my family or woman on a date night / cruise. Support your local Korean restaurant, give this place a try (only on Friday or Saturday night).

My first experiences at this restaurant were when it was called Chop Chop, but now it's under new management. I typically visit during lunch and always order my favorite short rib soup, which is absolutely delicious. The service is fantastic as well. I particularly enjoy the small dishes of vegetables and kimchi—it's the best kimchi I've ever tasted, 100% delicious! I even asked for a refill of kimchi and fish cake, which are my favorites. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars! I'm back again to order the short rib soup. Thank you for the excellent service!

Parking is limited, so I parked in the strip mall across the street. I was able to get a table right away, which was nice. This is the only place I found that offers Unami Bi Bim Bop, and you can request extra Unami as well. It was incredibly delicious. The Strawberry Snowflakes Dessert was also generous and tasty. The only downside was that the waiter didn't come by very often. Overall, I recommend this place for a delicious meal.

Good food, I like the plate. Did not eat inside, but on pick-up orders the staff is nice. Tofu soup is also good. You get the spice level right, depending on how you order it. Mild is still very tasteful.

I had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant. The friendly server recommended some soju, which was a nice touch. The lunch special was served quickly and was delicious, featuring mackerel and beef bulgogi. The kimchi pancake, calamari, and soft tofu soup were all bursting with flavor.
