Bidra med feedbackIt all started with the service; we felt mostly ignored and had to flag down our waitress just to place drink orders when we arrived. After our first rolls were served, we waited over 30 minutes for the second set of rolls to arrive, and once again had to seek her out to get the check—otherwise, we might have been there all night! Now, about the food—these were the smallest sushi portions I’ve ever been served, and we eat sushi regularly. The fish was tiny, limp, and anything but fresh. My dynamite roll had something that resembled and felt like regurgitated fish. The rainbow roll, which showed up after an eternity, had barely any rice, stale fish, and was overpowered by a mayonnaise-like taste. I tried to scoop out the mayonnaise mess from the middle, but it took forever, and left very little of the sushi intact! To make matters worse, it cost $18, which is outrageous for a rainbow roll! When I finally gave up on trying to remove the mayonnaise from the second piece, the server didn’t check in to see if I wanted a box or if there was an issue with the food—it was as if they knew how bad it was! So, after my husband had a beer and two rolls and I had just water and two rolls, our bill totaled $78! I can honestly say I’ve never paid that much for sushi, especially when it was terrible! My husband and I are regular sushi eaters, and after this experience, we ended up going to a bar for live music and some bar food because we were still hungry!
I visited the restaurant for dinner on a Sunday. There's no waiting list, and they rely on a specific waiter to remember the order of customers in line. If you're looking to avoid anxiety, this might not be the place for you. Service: 1/5.
I had a wonderful experience at Sato with my 5 and 3-year-old kids. The atmosphere was very calm, and I almost considered leaving because my kids can be a bit noisy while eating. However, the service was outstanding. We placed our orders quickly, and the staff promptly served the children's sushi before the larger adult rolls. The food was fantastic, and I found the prices to be quite reasonable for a sushi restaurant. I look forward to coming back soon!
This restaurant had a nice cozy feel to it, the atmosphere was nice and quaint. The staff are nice and friendly and very attentive.I ordered sushi, and everything tasted great. The only downside to me was that the sushi options were limited. Spicy mayo is not an option as a topping, and any modifications to the rolls are restrictive (i.e., I requested a side of eel sauce and was denied).
We were in the area and wanted Japanese food, so we decided on this restaurant. It was really good! And the portions are HUGE! My bento (3 item bento salmon teriyaki, tempura, and California roll) was so big. I definitely couldn't finish it all and had leftovers for the next day or two. Everything was really delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant (we went on a Sunday around 6:00, so it wasn't super busy yet). Very impressed and will definitely be back to try their other menu items.
