Sonic Drive-in - Pocatello

I've been a customer here for years, and it has typically been a friendly and fast experience. However, lately, the service has become quite slow, with waits of 10 to 15 minutes for an order, which is frustrating. Tonight, I noticed that some staff members were outside the restaurant smoking, drinking, and using inappropriate language while littering cigarette butts between customers' cars. This behavior is completely unprofessional and should not be accepted. I'm uncertain if I'll return, and I wouldn't recommend this place to others at the moment. I hope they can address these issues, as it's disappointing to see employees acting this way and allowing customers to behave similarly.

The service at this restaurant is the worst in the city! The staff clearly needs training in customer service skills. It took an unreasonable amount of time to make just two milkshakes. I also had to wait to place my order while two staff members were just standing around and could have helped. Overall, it's the most disappointing customer service I've ever experienced!

We waited for over 45 minutes for our slushies and finally just left. We did the mobile pick up order, and when we got to the car stall I checked in. 20 minutes later, we still didn't have our drinks, or any indication that they knew we were there. So I pushed the button and was told that they were short staffed so I needed to go through the drive-through. I explained that I was there to pick up a mobile order and they said to stay where I was and it would be right out.15 minutes later, the drinks still were not out. By this point my kids, who had been waiting very well, were starting to get cranky and upset. I pushed the button again, and was told to please to to the drive-through because the stalls were not taking orders because they were short staffed. Once again, I explained that I was picking up a mobile order, but if it was easier I would go through the drive through. They told me to stay there and they would bring the slushies right out.A few minutes later, a girl walked out and said my order was delayed on their end for 25 seconds. I explained I had already been waiting for over half an hour and that I wasn't sure what the delay was. She said to wait for a minute and she would have her boss come talk to me to see if we could figure it out.15 minutes later the drinks were still not out and nobody had come to talk to me, my kids were all crying by then so we just left. The 50 minutes of waiting wasn't worth the $6.00 I paid in drinks.Multiple employees came in and out of the building during our wait to do things like go to the bathroom and talk to people in other cars. Very few times did I actually see them bringing food to cars who I assume were other mobile orders? One employee even walked up to a car near mine and grabbed a vaping tool and took a quick vape through the window of the car. She did this twice while I was watching. When we left, two employees were just sitting on the patio talking. (I have no idea if they were taking a break or not, but maybe you should take your break after you have served a customer who has been waiting for 45+ minutes.)I totally understand being short staffed. These are tough times for businesses right now. And I had no problem waiting extra time to accommodate for that. But 50 minutes of waiting is extremely excessive and unprofessional. Especially for 6 drinks/slushies. Not even food. We will not be visiting again anytime soon.

We are a door dasher and it takes us almost 30 min to get our order and all the employees are just sitting out in the table by the bathrooms during happy hour as a door dasher this really hurts us. We will be contacting door dash about this place

The happy hour drinks are fantastic and incredibly refreshing! The service can be a bit slow when things get busy, but the staff always does their best, especially for those who are in a hurry. As for vegetarian options, there are plenty of drink choices as well as vegetarian dishes available. It's also child-friendly—my kids absolutely love their meals! Plus, there are customizable options to cater to various dietary needs. Overall, the ability to customize drink options is a big plus!
