The Quarter House - Point Pleasant Boro

The kitchen was quite slow during our visit on a Saturday night in the summer, despite the empty tables, so it wasn't particularly busy. The waitstaff was also sluggish. We didn't receive any bread until we asked for it after finishing our appetizers, and our appetizer plates were never cleared away. On the bright side, the food was excellent, so perhaps we just happened to visit on an off night in terms of service. Additionally, some landscaping improvements would be beneficial; the restaurant resembles a regular house that appears to neglect its exterior. We weren't even sure if the place was open when we arrived.

We had a reservation for 7:30 PM on a Saturday night at the Jersey Shore, and I was surprised they still had availability. While the indoor seating was packed, we were the only ones dining outside. We began our meal with the Caesar Salad, which was fresh and delicious. For my main course, I ordered the Blackened Ahi Tuna special. It was very fresh, although the blackening seasoning was a bit heavy, making it slightly salty. The sides included rice, which was sticky and bland, along with green beans and carrots, which were fine. My spouse ordered the Mahi Mahi special and absolutely loved it. The couple dining with us had the Tuna and the Jambalaya, and they both remarked that it was really good. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant—it's definitely worth the visit!

This restaurant is off the normal beaten path but worth it. It has an unusual menu is BYOB. On this, our second visit, we took friends for their first visit. We started with the broiled oysters topped with cheese WOW. As our entrees, two of us ordered the Shrimp Creole which we both felt was delicious and an ample sized portion. My husband ordered the Tues Special which was a Beef Bolognese over pasta it was a large portion he really enjoyed it and said it was very different. The last order was the Crab cake and Shrimp platter which was delicious full of crab with fresh vegetables. The food is always hot, fresh delicious. The owner and staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. It isn't a large place, but it is quiet comfortable . We all agreed we would go back .

Very pleasant ambiance. Great service and delicious food. We will definitely be going back. We thought it was reasonably priced for a higher end food destination. Could be a date night/special occasion place, or just a nice dinner out with the family.

We really enjoy having dinner at The Quarter House Restaurant. They always have interesting specials and the food is delicious. The crab and corn bisque is spectacular. The waitstaff is well-informed and offers help in dealing with food allergies. They really make you feel at home. I would highly recommend this restaurant (and have many times!
