Bidra med feedbackI believe that charging 12,50€ for a glass of wine that you can buy a bottle of for 5,50€ (not even in bulk, but individually) is just unethical. You could buy 2 bottles for the price of one glass. I don't have a problem spending money when the product is valuable, but this has left me with a bitter aftertaste of what would've been a lovely dinner. The decoration was pleasant, they promptly accommodated my service dog, the service was appropriate, although after I ordered the picanha my server came back to tell me that it was frozen product and from Brazil, discouraging me from ordering it, which I found odd but went along with it since they're supposed to have good local beef. The place was clean and the food was just okay for the price (the fish soup was more like a cream with some pasta and a spicy hint that covered any nuances of the fish, the steak was covered in so much stuff that again, any flavor was camouflaged). But the undisclosed price of that particular glass of wine and the condescending response of the owner after talking to him about it tainted the experience. I work in the industry and I feel scammed.
The food was priced as a high end restaurant but the delivery was average at best. Unfortunately, that is the highlight, as the wait staff is extremely rude and the tables are so overcrowded that you are practically eating from your neighbors table. A couple of the tables are literally almost in the restroom. The restaurant is strictly about the owner's compensation with no attention to customer service. I recommend finding a different restaurant.
Possibly the best meal I have ever had. The waiter recommended dishes and we just sat back and enjoyed. The best seared tuna and the best beef filet I have ever had. Exceptional service and presentation. My only regret is that my belly isn't bigger to accommodate more food!!
We went on recommendation from our tour guide and we’re very pleased. This is a small, fine dining establishment with outstanding selection of fresh fish and wine as well as other offerings. We shared a filet, wreck fish in English, that was mouth melting. Salad and garlic bread we’re generous portions and the desert, pineapple crepe with ice cream, was perfect. Our wine, an Azorean white crisp selection, was a perfect accompaniment. Service was attentive and helpful.
After coming on holidays from UK to Azores and being born in Portugal I was expecting a great place full of enthusiasm and character……but since I booked this table some time ago for dinner I called and changed my reservation for lunch. We arrived at 13:30 the restaurant had 3/4 tables maximum. After being greeted by the waiter which showed us the table we sat down saw the chef and owner and we ordered our drinks, food and that’s it! During the service we noticed that the chef/owner was visiting and serving all tables, chatting and etc. We don’t need to be chatty and etc…… but a bit of cordially conversation and etc is nice everywhere. About the food was ok, we ordered picanha for 2, since my wife is from Brasil and to be honest her grandmother picanha and rice and black beans with bacon are better than this ones. But having said that the pineapple crepe was an absolute treat, very very good , hence the 3 stars review. So to the owner you should pay the same attention to all of your paying patrons on a restaurant, and treat them with a bit more respect. Many thanks.
