The Surfy Port Douglas

Great menu, eating was so fresh and delicious. can highly recommend the fish tacos and bao buns. enough that we share 2. staff very friendly and helpful. would definitely go back if it had been celebrating time. directly on the beach.

CUSTOMER SERVICE Unfortunately, most places in the Cairns Port Douglas area require a booking sometimes weeks in advance (which is fine), however, I have found that most staff refuse to even acknowledge you waiting at the door make eye contact, etc. We walked up to the door of this restaurant and for the first time ever a staff member greeted us within a minute or so of our arrival was so kind apologetic that he couldn’t seat us. This is the first time at any restaurant in the cairns area where we have actually dealt with someone (even if it was just briefly) that had fantastic customer service prior to the customer entering the restaurant. I really look forward to returning to this establishment (with a booking) in the future. Please continue to acknowledge people at the door (even if it’s a smile or nod) as this makes your restaurant stand out from the rest!

The food was lovely , fresh Vietnamese salad with well cooked pork. Kids menu was also great , a nice selection of Bolognese , chicken nuggets or fish and chips . The food was reasonably price and we had a beautiful view of the beach . Service with a smile we will be returning in the future .

I stopped by to grab some coffees after a swim at the beach. Staff were fast and friendly, particularly loved the high energy from the manager who greeted everyone. Conveniently located next to the beach and near town centre.

I would argue that the Surf Club is one of the best places to eat in Port Douglas. Food and service is of good quality and reasonable price. Been many times over the years and the consistency is one thing that I find great. Also so relaxing as you do not need to get dressed up, and the “open air” space creates a nice ambience.
