Charlie's On East - PORT FAIRY

My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch recently.There were quite a few other people enjoying the views and their food.The menu was restricted to about 10 choices . There is also a good selection of wines to be tried.The view was very good and although it was cold and windy outside we were comfortably warm. From our table the view was very good but there were other diners occupying tables with superior views.I found the food to be well presented and of good quality . Main meals were about S15 to S 19 On a clear day you could have seen forever but despite the cold , windy and rainy day- the view was a feature . I would suggest this is an Ideal place for visitors to have lunch in a casual relaxed environment.

Well located with ocean views. Menu range a little above average. Food came quickly and was good. Service OK but not over friendly

Hmmm ... this restaurant offers great views to enjoy a long relaxing afternoon so we were really hoping for a good meal and a couple of glasses of wine to relax, but sadly it stopped at the views.Yes, they were quite busy so we were more than happy to wait for our table to be cleaned but that did take quite a while.Once we decided what we wanted to order, off to the counter to order to be let down that BOTH of our selections had run out. So plan b was Charlies Burger and a pasts of some sort. The burger was really good, the pasta we'll leave at that.A few dollars spent spruiking up the dated and tired interior would go a long long way to mirroring the beautiful views across the bay this venue has to offer.So if you're in town looking for a quick

While in Port Fairy, my partner and i stayed at a local accommodation and Charlies was recommeneded to us as a location to have breakfast and we were so glad that we did!Absolutley beautiful and the staff were very friendly, no to mention the yummy food. Highly recommend.

Our mini holiday became perfect because we discovered Charlie's - what could be better than a long early walk on the beach then great breakfast and really, really good coffee. Then a later a longer walk on the beach and a long late lunch. The food, coffee, wine selection and the happy relaxed excellent service made our 5 day holiday perfect.Certainly will return and highly recommend Charlie's.We had breakfast and coffees on the deck with our beloved dog, they had a water bowl for visiting dogs, great.
