Today I had the total pleasure of having lunch at the Golden Lion. Being greeted with genuine enthusiasm by the hostess was just the start. Lovely relaxed ambience, fresh well cooked and tasty food which was quickly served and a fab drop of cider. Given this gem is in a tourist hot-spot I felt like I was a local.

What a lovely old pub! Very welcoming and friendly. Food was nice and hot. Staff pleasant and happy to help. A roaring fire was very welcoming on such a chilly day. Met Lisa, the new landlady, what a lovely, thoughtful lady! Good luck to her and her staff and thank you for making us so welcome. Will be calling again when we're in the area. Cheers! X

The fresh fish and chips were fantastic, especially when enjoyed with a large pint of "Professional"! It was great to be back in Cornwall at a traditional pub with friendly service and freshly cooked food. I savored every bite, but the best part was definitely the mushy peas—absolutely the best I've ever had!
