Bidra med feedbackOur large party of 10 dined here on our last night at the Harbor Lataka. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options on the menu, which included Mexican dishes, pancakes, eggs, fried chicken, and burgers. While the service was a bit slow, taking 45 minutes for our meals to arrive, they were well worth the wait. We definitely plan to return!
Price, service, and authenticity are all exceptional here, making it a consistent choice for generations! This spot is truly a hidden gem located in the harbor area of the city. I treat myself to a visit every month whenever I'm craving genuine Tex-Mex without overspending. The breakfast tacos and Monterrey plate are so delightful that you'll be left feeling completely satisfied, likely in need of a nice “siesta” afterwards to recover!
This is a charming little spot that has a special ambiance. The chips and salsa were decent, and the meals arrived hot and in a timely manner. The sweet tea was refreshing and just the right level of sweetness—definitely above average. The basic beef taco was average, but the pork carnitas were tender and gently seasoned, slightly above average. The refried beans were also above average, while the rice was just average. However, the standout dish that earned this restaurant a 5-star rating was the cheese enchilada— without a doubt, the best enchilada I've had in three years.
Great service, great eating with a lot of taste. not only Mexican food on the menu. clean restaurant with authentic Mexican atmosphere. I can't wait to go back.
This TexMex cafe is a no fuss/no frills tradition in the small town of Port Lavaca, TX, which is chock full of similar restaurants. Many try and fail, but Monterrey perseveres for a valid reason: it's affordable, dedicated and serves authentic, reliably delicious food. A handful of other tasty standard TX dishes are offered as well. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit.
