Bidra med feedbackLocated in a renovated former saddlery in the centre of the village, the Cessy Auberge Communale ranks as one of the best restaurants in the Pays de Gex.
For many years we come here again and again. herr and wife prieur understand their crafts and are perfect cook and cordial hostess. here you must have tried coque au vin jaune with a mountain of morilles (this time the coque was not consistently tender, but the sauce was again a dream!).Beautiful look to the garden and a relaxing rest while eating what you want more.The prices are well adapted to the level and quality, which also applies to the weine.Ideale trips over the rs. enough parking at the house.
In a disappointing setting, greeted professionally and friendlyly by the host of the places, you will feel at ease and out of time.Nothing presage on arrival such a good gastronomy and a calm olympian! The service is impeccable and the restaurant's menu perfectly reflects the Jura specialties other than the classic cheese-based dishes.
I chose this restaurant hotel in front of which I often went without being able to stop there for professional reasons, and at the end of October we went down my wife and I on the return of a family trip. The pool has counted a lot in our choice. the room style old but well heated and very quiet despite the road a few meters away. The hotel was supposed to close in November and only a few days left before the deadline.The lady who received us was friendly and to whom I asked if we could use the pool told me that not because of hundreds of flies that with the first cold had invaded the inside and were exterminated with insecticide bombs. The surroundings of the basin and along the glass windows were covered with corpses of hundreds of these insects.No one had the spirit to give a vacuum to put order in this room for which my choice of this hotel had counted a lot. The meal was delicious with a bite-croute followed by a meunière trout and a selection of cheeses from the region. We spent a good restorative night to forget to wake up early the next day.Just one thing: I measure 1.80m and sit on the toilet that is on the way to the shower, my knees touched the partition that separates the toilet from the bedroom.
We had dinner in this Logis, where we were staying. A lovely dining room faces the garden, and eating outside is a possibility in warm weather. There was one local menu with few choices (none for the main course) at 29€, then a mix-and-match for up to 43€, but luckily there is a decent a la carte section as well, although this bumps the prices up. I had a delicious warm goat's cheese salad and a delightful beef fillet in morilles mushrooms for 43€.There was a very decent wine list (local Jura and national) at fairly sensible prices.Service was quick and friendly.To be recommended. I would just like to have seen more choice available on the menus.
