Bidra med feedbackThe staff is incredibly friendly and the restaurant is spotless. The food is of good quality, but the beans were nearly tasteless. While the ingredients are fresh and well-presented, it feels like the dishes are catered to an older crowd, perhaps living in a retirement community. I hope they enhance the seasoning, as it has great potential.
My wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try, and we really enjoyed the food. I now see why one reviewer mentioned that the consistency of Mofongo is more similar to mangu, but it was still delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
We discovered this restaurant during our travels through some online research. The food was quite good, though the shrimp were a bit over-seasoned. The presentation was impressive as well. However, there were significant discrepancies that warranted a 2-star rating from us. To start, the establishment isn't well-marked, making it hard to find. They offer a Pina Colada under the alcoholic beverages section, but it has no alcohol, which is misleading given the price. Additionally, the menu prices seemed irrelevant, as they didn't match what we ended up being charged. For two ducks and two drinks (one beer and one Sangria), the bill came to $85. When I inquired about it, our server just shrugged and said, "Don't blame me." As for cleanliness, it was lacking, and we won't be returning.
Mofongo King? Yeah, right! Dirty, many flies, noisy music, long wait for food, although the place is completely invalid from customers in the top lunch hour and the food lacks season. The mofongo was dry and the grilled chicken breast was boiled, but above all it was the flies that were annoying. Very nasty!!! Look at the pictures I posted! On a good note the waitress was very friendly!
Stopped here on Friday night for dinner. The place is nice and the staff is friendly. Just a heads up, if loud sounds bother you should ask to be seated outside. They have the music volume a little on the loud side. I'm giving it a 4stars because I was very disapointed on the Alcapurrias. They were small and suggy. I could not pick them up without them just bending all over my fingures. One of the keys of the Alcapurrias is that they are crispy on the outside, but this ones were not. Also they barely had meat filling. : Other than that, my churrasco and my husband's mofongo with shrimp was very good.
