Lindbergh's Landing - Portage

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time with friends after a hockey game. It's located right across from Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, but none of us had ever stopped by before. It seems to be relatively unknown, though I hope it gains more recognition in the future. The menu is small but offers a few solid choices, and I think it could grow with increased customer interest. We all tried different variations of their fresh, never frozen burgers and hand-cut fries, and they were delicious. The service was excellent; our server was very attentive and helpful, and the manager came by to ensure we were enjoying our meal. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I wanted to try their steak dinner, but they were unfortunately out of steaks.

This restaurant has the charm of a classic small-town burger bar from the 70s or 80s, and everything is fresh and delicious. They make their own French fries, which are fantastic. The bathroom facilities are quite decent as noted by someone else. I tried the black bean burger, and it was very tasty. The fries were fresh, as were the bowls and salad that my wife ordered. Overall, it was a great experience!

The fries at this restaurant were undoubtedly the standout feature of my experience. Unfortunately, the drinks were fairly ordinary; there wasn't a special cocktail menu or any unique offerings, so be prepared with your choices when you arrive. I attended Trivia Night on Tuesday and had a pleasant time, although the atmosphere was quite empty. My only real complaint is that the men's restroom had an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of a portable toilet.

Another issue was the staff smoking right outside the entrance, which made for a very unpleasant atmosphere. Overall, I can't wait for this place to improve or for something better to take its place. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would!

The food and atmosphere are fantastic! I loved the unique airplane theme. The dishes were incredibly tasty and the prices were quite reasonable. I will definitely be returning!
