If you haven't been here yet you owe yourself a visit and special treat. Some of the best food in the Algarve especially the Meats like the Lamb, and Chateaubriand. We also had the Sole, Garlic shrimp and the Strawberries Romanoff which were equally as fantastic. The service is always professional and friendly and the atmosphere feels like a well maintained comfortable, traditional home.

We stopped at Restaurante Pôr Do Sol on a tour and had a fixed menu. The meal was hot and fresh and was served promptly. The service was great and friendly. I had a Sol fish and they even brought out a home made chocolate cake dessert.

We went here for dinner on our last night on Algarve and it was excellent. We had seafood for entré and main and profiteroles for desert. The food was delicious. The stuff is very attentive to details and the vibe is chill yet elegant. You can dress up when dining here. We paid 72€ for a 2-person dinner which is a fair price for the quality of the food. We recommend it.

If you go to Alvor you can not stop visiting and eating at the restaurant Por Do Sol! It is an outstanding place to enjoy local and Portuguese gastronomy, the food was delicious, I can not make a decision which dish was my favorite, in fact during a 3-nights trip we had dinner in Por Do Sol twice, we had to come back. Alongside the high-quality food, the staff is so amazing, the waitresses are excellent, and the bartender goes to your table to help you to choose the aperitif and get feedback, it is really a 5-star experience!
