Bidra med feedbackFast, cheap, wonderful.... Eastside is what a sandwich shop should be. Way better than the unfortunate standbys of Subway Quiznos without the high prices, cash only, long lines and rude service of many of the trendy local shops. All we wanted was a good sandwich. It's a solid lunch spot that makes it a no brainer when you just want something simple, filling and tasty.
Mundane Meatballs. Its unfortunate that the Meatballs in my Sub were obviously of the processed frozen variety. Because everything else; the Breads, Deli Meat, (Boars Head! Veggies, and pricing were all very much to our liking. Service was good, though slightly scatterbrained, with one of the gals making me two 6 ' Meatball Subs even though I only ordered one. Still, Id return to try the Pastrami or French Dip as my wife really enjoyed her 'East Side Italian ' and the place has a down to earth vibe that is unusual for a Hawthorne eatery.Grade: B (build your own Meatballs damn it!!
Hell yea Smiley! Put the Field Roast with veganasie on Dave's Killer Bread in by dirty lil' mouth. I have been praying for a deli like this since I moved to Portland, now it's two doors down from my work.
I can't stop thinking about the delicious cajun sandwich I had at this restaurant. It was so tasty that I am salivating just thinking about it. They also have a convenient grab-and-go sandwich vending machine outside, which is stocked with fresh sandwiches. If you don't mind how your bread is prepared, I would recommend giving it a try. However, ordering through their app can be a bit unreliable. On two occasions, we struggled to place an order in the parking lot and ended up having to go to the window because the app kept crashing. Despite this inconvenience, I highly recommend getting the sandwich by any means necessary. It's definitely worth it.
Was great savior when I discovered it for me and children. Personally, my first reuben sandwich was so perfect that I've been trying to experience it again for 3 years, but without too avail. It has been a bit tiresome trying to try so many other sandwich varieties that no longer attract me completely. Nevertheless, a go-to for fresh veggies and really friendly, cool people working there.
