Eastern Cathay And Lounge - Portland

Very rude and horrible customer service. They already can't speak good English, and then when you ask a question they go off and scream at you. I will never go here Ever

I've been coming to Eastern Cathay for over a decade.Their food is reminiscent of the Republic Cafe (NW Portland) in the good old days. I understand that the chef worked there...which might explain the resemblance.The lady behind the counter is always pleasant and friendly and the food is very good. I highly recommend this establishment. E.J.W.

Terrible customer service, called in an order. She didn 't ask for my name and didn 't tell me how long, when I called back to ask how long, the lady said "it 's up to you! And hung up on me... this place is a joke. I canceled my order. I rather drive a little further!

Called in my order and I was told it was going to be 15min. I let my house 15mins and stopped by the store on my way there. When I got there to pick up my food it still wasn't done. I waited 10 min only to get home to eat my and everything was cold except the chow main. Call back up there to ask them why is everything cold except the chow main and the lady start yelling and telling me it wasn't like her she was there at my house. I will never go back there no more they are rude and very ignorant people. ???

There's only 1 person for the bar restaurant, and a cook so it was long waits in between the bar dining area, I thought it was over priced for what was served!
