Farina Bakery - Portland

I can’t help but describe this place as “enchanting.” My experience there was so delightful that I struggle to find any other words. The customer service was truly exceptional. When I called to ask about a slice of cake, the staff member I spoke with was incredibly accommodating, setting one aside for me. I eagerly looked forward to that cake all day. Once I finally had it, it was clear that the wait was worth it. The vegan chai spice carrot cake might just be my favorite slice of cake ever. Its sweetness was only outdone by the kindness of the staff who helped make it possible for me to enjoy it. I’ll definitely be returning—best bakery ever!

The macarons here are absolutely the best I've ever had in Portland—definitely a 10/10! I really wish I had taken a picture, as they look just as incredible as they taste, but my wife and I were too excited to dig in right away. We'll definitely be returning! I also wanted to add that I went back for more and tried some new flavors. Honestly, these are the best macarons in PDX, and I highly recommend them!

The food was delicious, but I noticed that when I arrived around 11 AM, the display shelves were already starting to look sparse. I definitely need to remember to get there earlier next time! The aroma in the restaurant is heavenly, and they offer fantastic vegan options.

I don’t get to come here often due to the drive and location but always feel like a kid in a pastry store when I do. I originally found Farina when moving to Portland and looking for Macaroons. While their Macaroons are heavenly (and keep me coming back for more despite the 30 45 minute drive) they have a great assortment of other pastries and goodies too! Price wise they are a little spendier but I’m okay paying it to not only support the good work that the employees of the bakery (and in some cases their artistry of what they make like wedding cakes) but also the taste/quality. Taste is huge! They do have in location shopping available as well as work with companies like door dash and grub hub if you want to have your driver pick something up. Due to the nature of this business their mornings are typically the busiest and sometimes run out of key items before 11 12noon. So if you have your heart set on something order ahead or go in early. I also love that they change their seasonal macaroon offerings and keep that section lively. Great job Farina and thank you

I ordered a macaron tower with 50 macarons. The macarons were fantastic. The tower was $25 to rent and a $75 deposit on the tower. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the tower. It was very cheap. Something you could get a 5-pack of at the dollar store. The macarons didn't fit well in the tiers, I had to squeeze them in and all the macarons couldn't fit on the tower. I really wouldn't recommend renting the tower from them. Definitely get your macarons here though. We worked out an arrangement for the tower after this review. I still use this bakery for all my macaron needs. They are still the best macarons i've had to date.
