Bidra med feedbackHad a great time! Had a small group with a series of regular and happy hour menu elements. Loaded cheddar bacon chip frits, delicious big burgers, ceasar salad, beef chicken nachos, Bretzel-Fondue, grilled salmon over braided in Brussels sprouts. It was all delicious. I'll make the next visit better and take pictures. Great drinks and I enjoyed a glass of their diesel stout. Very recommended.
Been coming here for years. Love this place! Today I had one of the daily specials, roast beef French dip. Was awesome and just what I needed. With fries, I only ate half the sandwich and brought home the rest. Well done, Lodge! Thank you!
Glueh Kriek served warm, spiced to perfection, absolutely astounding! Service from Shannon on my first visit and Scott the second time around was excellent! The tap list includes a lovely array of around 12 15 rotating in house taps, including a unique coffee blonde, apricot sour (amongst several other tastily tart brews), lager, stout, aged Kriek and my favorite already mentioned, seasonally inspired Glueh Kriek. The prices of the beer can be steep, but the flavor experienced is well worth it! Food options are also above par, the menu offering some common classics alongside many unique dishes. Their burgers are top notch, bacon/chicken/broccoli mac n cheese delicious, my gf enjoyed the kale burger very much, and their salads are not only heftily portioned, but creatively crafted with a concert of flavor. With a newly renovated dining area upstairs, the lofty, wood beamed ceiling afforded a warm ambiance in addition to the entire staff's friendliness. We will be back! Thank you! Best, ~S
I've waited a few visits before writing a public assessment of it. Simply because the first time I came and had a burger it was fairly mediocre... but the subsequent visits I've had has put The Racoon Lodge as one of my favorite, go to, places in Portland for a fine meal. With every visit I am surprised by even the simplest combinations of ingredients to make something delectably delicious. From their super creamy cheesy bacon Mac to their cedar plank salmon with cilantro rice I, literally, clean my plate every visit. Tonight's desert: the carrot cake... and the best word to describe this experience is: divine. I'm not even a fan of carrot cake but the perfect balance of fluffy, sweet, and frosting to cake ratio... I'd be surprised of the head chef is not a perfectionist in his/her craft. AND as if the food wasn't a great reason to come, they also host the most diverse set of rotating sour beers, that I know of, in all of Portland. While the review may be dramatic, I feel the food is up for the praise. Give them a try if you're ever in the area.
Best sour ales in The PNW, hands down. The staff is great and knowledgeable of their beer selection. Food is also great but was a little disappointed to see the salted caramel crunch cake was not on the menu the last time we visited. And I love that kids eat free on Mondays!
