Sweet Street Bbq - Portland

Amazing food! They catered my works party recently and it was outstanding food all around!! My favorite was the Pulled Pork! Great place to go if you feel like BBQ and you don't want to cook it yourself! Thanks Pookey! Congrats on the coverage in the Seattle Met!

The Chicken Plate featured three large, perfectly smoked wings, and the meat was so tender that I couldn’t help but dig in face-first. Wayne called out from the truck to see if I needed more napkins or wipes, but I was too busy licking my fingers like I had lost my mind. My wife later pointed out that I had BBQ sauce on my glasses, which wasn’t great considering my walk on Alberta was meant to help me lower my A1C. I tried to argue that the collards were somewhat nutritious, right? The BBQ beans were fantastic, and they probably provided the fiber I desperately need. To wash it all down, I had a kombucha from Conscious Sedation, a beer and cider cart in the same area. After finishing the incredibly affordable Chicken Plate ($9), I was impressed by the thoughtful touches of including two toothpicks and a moist wipe. I really appreciate the people who moved up from the South and not only brought their culinary traditions but continue to preserve and share them with those of us who appreciate good food.

This is my top choice for BBQ ribs in Portland. They are absolutely mouthwatering and delicious. The service is outstanding, the prices are reasonable, and you simply must try their baked beans...they're incredible! The recipes have been passed down through generations, so you can be confident that these ladies really know their craft. I also have to highlight the generous portion sizes! I truly love this place.

As a southerner, I know good BBQ when I taste it, and this place delivers! The pork ribs were incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. The staff were also very friendly. I will definitely be returning and will be sure to recommend it to my friends!
